I went to Firebird to see a buddy race his 04 GTO and then went to a show.

He ran a best of 13.36

He has been messing with a cold air intake and it slowed him down.
Last time he raced against me he ran a 13.01 @ 110+.
I think he had a 12 in there that night but I took him out.

I keep trying to get him to make some improvements, i.e.cam, bigger EFI etc but not yet.
He is about to change out his clutch, he said he smelled clutch pretty bad after his last run.

It was nice to go to the track, but it made me want to race even more.

Neither of the GTO's were my buddies.

Although his is identical to the black one.

Both could have been bought that day for 10 grand, and in my opinion a good buy.
The maroon one only had a bigger cam and injectors, the black one was bone stock.
Neither had more than 40 k miles on them.

It was a good day.
