My buddies shop is full, so it got put off. I have spent the weekend repairing the hacked wiring harness and repairing a lot of the little annoying things I have found such as sloppy door hinges, cigarrete lighter mising, etc.
Still to do is a heater core replacement...

The Pumpkin is alive! Finally... Installed the motor and tranny Saturday, then spent most of Sunday and then Monday afternoon getting it together. (I HATE hackjobs on the wiring). Fired right up, idled smoothly (a $15 600 Holley) :D
Still to do, is a minor wiring issue, remove the passenger side serpentine set up to plug a leaky accessory hole in the end of the head, and charge the AC...

Get a vid on youtube of that thing running. I want to hear that 327. What is in that engine anyways? Flat tappet/solid lifters? Does it have double humps? What CR? What cranking comp? Redline?

C'mon...out with it!!! 8)

I don't have a vid, don't know how  And I'm not sure of the motor specs, it's a Craigslist find. I do know it is a standard bore 62 327 with 441 69 model heads, sounds like a 268 comp cam hydraulic flat tappet, but that is just a guess. It has an aluminum intake with the Winters snowflake cast in it and the gm firing order, and a 600 Holley. (I got the Holley for $15 bucks, never even opened it, all I did was set the idle) :D I picked up a 89 firebird serpentine set up, looks like a factory install, AC will be charged shortly. This will be a cruiser only, no plans to race it. That is what my avatar truck is for. When I get it back home and detailed, I will take some more of my spectacularly crappy pics and post them...

Took it out for a spin today. I have a few minor things to finish before I bring it home, but it is pretty sweet. It drives, stops, steers like it should. I have to replace the door hinge bushings on the drivers side, work on the window track that side also, replace the speedometer cable, and charge the AC...
