I'm all excited guys. I never expect or even hope to win when I go to car shows, and I got 2nd place in 70-79 stock class with my car today, at a smaller local show that turned out about 150 participants. I had a big shit-eating grin when they called me up there. It was an awesome reward for all the work and nerves I've been doing lately.









I didn't have my camera, so these were with my phone, but I'm going to take some more pics later today.


Also, the car that won was a Chevelle too, so I didn't feel that bad (like I would have anyways...right?). It was an original-owner red/black stripe '70 SS454 LS5 Chevelle. And it was cherry.

When we build cars, whether for the strip or for showing, it makes us happy to win.
I know we build them for ourselves but it is nice to win the respect and admiration of our contemporaries.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the comments. I took some pics yesterday with a higher resolution camera, but it put the lame date stamp on all my pics!!! They're not great by photographer's standards, but the car looks GOOD!!

I think you should have gotten 1st place but when folks see a 70, they go gaga over them no matter what.
