This is me and "Olive" with friends at Milby Park, Pasadena, Texas in October, 1969. Hard to believe this was 41 years ago. I still haven't decided whether or not to go to the auto paint store yet. WC1

Oh, shoot. See previous page for current ideas (flag theme)...
Here is George today in the driveway. We dug that deck lid up out of a bug cemetery, cleaned it up, sanded it down and put Rustoleum and reflective tape on it. Also new Nerf Bars. The rear apron never came in...my cousin doesn't call 1-800 numbers or use the internet so he doesn't order direct. He went to the bug shop guy and said order me this part. It never got there. It's amazing to me that the bug shop guy got there...his place was in total disarray. It was so full of junk and debris that we actually couldn't get in to his office. He didn't have a clue what our visit was for, either, but he said the part would be there that day when Bert ordered it. I have friends who have "selective memory" syndrome as well, so I knew there would be no arguing the point with the guy.

Anyway, there is an alignment issue with the deck lid, due to a bent hinge inside on the body panel part that was damaged in the wreck. Gonna have to fiddle with it to straighten it out and close that 1/2 inch gap on the right side. It's small steps right now. Cheers, WC1

PS: We worked 2 days on George in 100+ - degree heat, fixing that deal. I agree with Bert's nickname for Bugs: "Hitler's Revenge"! Cat

I am pretty sure I have seen this car.
I believe he is down in the southeast end of Boise.

I know a gal that has a 50 something bug that is cool as hell.
Maybe I can get a pic of it and post but I don't see her very often anymore as I no longer go to the bars.
