I have been asked to post more photo's of the Mid-Life-Crisis pickup, and some info. Here go's
First/I did not build it,It was built in the late 80's,and was sold early 90's.When I found out about it,it had been sitting for 6 yrs,and didn't run.
A 74 Nova gave it's life for most of the parts[front sub-frame,350/350motor/trans,10 bolt rearend, bucket seats
I had great plans for it,but as I worked on it.I started to like what the builder had done,so I ended up restoring it to when it was made into a street rod.It had been badly neglected by the previous owner.Once the vines, leaves, fly shit, dust, oxidation had been cleaned of the paint,Susan and I liked the shabby look,so we left it like that.So we call the paint by Mother Nature. It's funny how many times we've been asked how we got the paint to look like that[the secret is:a BBQ scrubber].
The motor is basicly stock, but I would like to do something about that.On the other hand, the saying:If it isn't broken, why fix it?comes to mind.
The first photo is when I saw it the first time, yes it was yard art.
