Is this the bacon mobile or the other dime you have been hiding?

Looks really good bro!!!!!!

Hey, question and sorry for the hijack.

How spendy will it be for me to get a rear end shortened for the s10?
I want to go with a 9" but this has to be a budget build so I may not be able to afford it.

if you have a machine shop around that can respline your axles it shouldnt cost 150 to 300 bucks to have it cut down and resplined. if you go with after market axles and a good full spool you can get up to 700 to over a grand.

yeah, my 10 bolt that I had in the 65 cost 1400.00 but that was for axles, posi unit, gears and c-clips.
Maybe I will find one built that fits for less.

you can get a 8.8 out of an explorer and cut one axle tube down and use 2 drivers side axles and it will fit right under a s10. they are pretty stout rears. you can get one with a factory 4.10 gear and posi for a 150 bucks at pull a part junkyard. ill find out for sure on how much needs cut off if you are interested in going that route. anybody can do it that way. for less then 250 bucks you would have a good rear. just a thought

Thanks Avery,
I never thought about the 8.8
If you think it will stand up to mid 10 second hp/tq then I will start looking around.

Thanks again!!!!
