got my blown bbc cranked up.headdera glowing red ?

489 8-71 tbs blower demon 750's BC carbs.at idle.run.smooth.at about.2500 rpms.holding.it.steady they get.over what my temp gun can read over 800° played.with.timing.tryed locling it.out.at.28°.then tryed.also.set.at.....8° with.28.total. Same thing. When i pop the.throttle.more.then a lite.over.1/4 throttle.fast it.back.fires.out the.exhast.
