I'll start that thread right after this, Thanks, Carl! I've been finishing up that mini-sprint deal today. I combined all 4 views into one picture. Looking forward to the banner job! Cheers, WC1

At the moment, I'm caught up on graphics. I'm putting some files together and looking at doing some experiments. I have a couple of ideas that I'm thinking about developing. Here is a cab-over deal I am thinking about Photoshopping. I'll keep the trailer full of Rocket 88s but I want to replace the truck with that cab-over I imported from another picture. I think it will be used for the Phantom Kruisers. I'll post progress as it goes along. Where did I get those pictures? They were in my Hot Rod Thunder folder...did I get them here? Am I blaspheming somebody's collection? I also made this band flyer using a '35 Nash brochure, but it had a lot of stuff on it I had to remove...I don't think I'm going to keep the Pee Wee Bowen deal on the back of it. It appears to me to detract from the beauty of that incredible car. Why the heck don't they make cars like that anymore? Anyway, it's a laid-back day. I'm playing at a benefit at 6 today for Mike Culp, a local comedian who suffered a stroke. I'll be playing keyboards for On Time Airline, a Bay Area rock band. Late...WC1

Thanks, Carl! These are the guys that George rolls with...they have all been great gents and they all flipped over George...what that showed me is that cool cars are cool cars, no matter what. They all welcomed us. I've had a great time with these folks. So doing these car of the month deals has been a fun thing...in fact, they're fired-up over it...

Come to think of it, what about a Hot Rod Thunder Car of the Month feature? Think that might fly? Cheers, WC1

I would love to do a car of the month and I think all of our members deserve to see their cars showcased!!!!
Maybe we could draw names out of a hat or set up a monthly vote.
And your right, cool cars are cool cars no matter. Even (choke choke) Fords can be cool.
Now that I said that I have to make a retraction and say I have NEVER seen a donk that I liked.

Great, I'll get something together today...what we'll need is not just the guy's board name but his real name and hometown, a moderately short list of specs and mods, (anything special that is worthy of note) maybe performance numbers? Time spent in build? You know...enough data to fill a text box on the side...I'll work up a prototype while the ball game is going on, email it to you and see what ya think. I want to start with the MLC...because I already know NovelT's name and hometown! Here goes...Cheers, WC1

And maybe a calendar of the winners for the site?
IF you think no one cares, try missing a payment...

I was just wondering about buying a calander for the house....what could be better than our own HRT calander.
Great idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I will try to look into the cost of doing a calander, maybe if WC1 approves we can get a 2010 out soon.

The last few days I've been playing with a concept that a buddy of mine mentioned on another board. Between him and his brother he has 2 VW Golfs, a Jetta, a Jegster chassis and an sbc. It turns out that the Golf has exactly the same wheelbase and overall dimensions as a Vega...it was funny because once I sent the pic to him of my rendering, the next thing he knew after posting it on Facebook, his phone was ringing off the wall and his email was full of messages from all his friends including his better half commanding him to do the project...so he's gonna do it. Now, I'm WildcatOne, ya see. My stuff is NEVER finished. I eventually have to stop and move on. But here are the 3 main versions I made of Don's sbc Golf project. Before I finally said enough. The last one, the Outlaw PM, has Houston Raceway Park in the background and I put Don's head on the photographer up on that ladder. I think I was subconsciously trying to make a Scirocco out of it...Enjoy! WC1
