It's more of a 30 - 31 body style. The 29's had a distinct vertical reveal that ran from the bottom of the windshield post to the bottom of the body right in front of the door.

I knew you guys'd know! Thanks! I will call it a '31...our panel of experts agree! Cheers, WC1

PS: Thanks, Carl...I have a few tweaks to do on it but there's still plenty of time before the January update goes online...

I'm still fine-tuning it, here's what I have this morning...
I duplicated the layer with the car on it, made the layer 50% opacity and selected "multiply" in the styles thingie, and
it darkened and sharpened the image. I also redid the shadow of the car on the grass and selected "overlay" instead of
"fill" and it made the grass look real under the car...the grass and background are 12 layers of different pictures...I'll come back and check it all over again before it gets submitted.
Cheers, WC1
No, wait. The right rear tire's shadow ain't right. It's floating a couple of inches off the ground...Gotta go back and fix that...

I've been working on this for the last couple of days, I think it's about ready, guess I'll find out...I told the client his word is the law...so far I've done an illustration of it and this Photoshop version. I like this one, haven't heard from the client who hasn't seen it yet...these mini-sprints are a real hoot! Cheers, WC1

They run a Kawasaki 1200 ZXR (I think it's ZXR) engine, they said these things are a blast...I'll take their word for it...as the illustration went yesterday, it was approved by the racing association so a few tweaks here and there and the painter begins his art project with this concept. It's all good.

BTW, Carl, I am still developing some ideas around a discussion we had a few weeks ago. Cheers, WC1

Here's the "baseline" drawing. I much prefer working with pictures because all of the "peripherals" are already in place and I can concentrate on the meat and potatoes of the task at hand:

I can't stop no matter what I do. I will sit here and do this until Hell freezes over...and it's getting pretty cold right now. It's snowing in Houston, Texas as I type this...anyway, I'm still rolling. Driving over to Beaumont (at the Texas/Louisiana border) at 2:30, playing a block party over there this evening. Me and Sylvester the trombone player are going to cruise over there nice and easy. Here's what I did this morning. They didn't ask for it but they asked for me and this is what happens. Everybody have a great weekend! Cheers, WC1

Thanks, man...was it the King picture? I loved it! What do you have going on with Photoshop, Ave? Problem with it is once you get into it (at least it's been that way with me) there is no escaping from it. I can't see anything like real anymore...I LIVE in Photoshop now...I need to get a LIFE (or just go ahead and live like this)! Cheers, WC1

Look. Why don't you guys send me your best pics of your cars. Carl and I have been discussing a new headline for the site. I like the one that's there but Carl has a vision of a new look up there. I could make a collage of members' rides and put 'em in a banner across the top. Something dynamic with a personalized yet broad scope that can be updated around 4 times a year...what thinkest thou about this concept, King Carl the Thunder czar? Cheers, WC1

With King's approval, let's say between now and next Saturday, email pics of your car to
pctalent@sbcglobal.net

I think this is a great idea....this site is about it's members as much as it is cars, so it would be fitting to showcase their cars.

How about it guys send your car pics to WC1!!!!!!!!

Thanks WC1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great, Boss! Let's start a new thread somewhere so everybody'll see it when they open the site...hopefully we can get up to 20 cars in the first one that will fill out the top of the page and still look good, ya know. Folks could post the pics in there instead of hassling with email, which is quickly becoming the "snail mail" of the new millenium. It'll be a joint project (I miss joint projects but I cleaned up 25 years ago) that everybody will have a part in...Cheers, WC1

Grinding gears seems to be the most looked at block on the forum so we can start the thread there.
