Since things have took a few turns downwards,I decided to just keep it to a smaller scale and build me a fun street/strip car.I made a deal on my step sons 70 Skylark and will be using the accumulated parts from my race car onto it and scale it down a bit. Wont be tubbing it or hacking it up,just adding a 11 second drive train to play around with.

Started the rusty upper and lower control arm removal. Will be adding poly bushings and painting the frame to look nicer. Then the 350 TH350 trans comes out so I can paint the firewall and install the new mill...

Ok got it running, but need to do some timing tuning and a bit of carb adjustments. The video doesn't really do the sound justice of how it really sounds, but you can get the idea...Should be able to get the glass fenders on and small things done in the coming 2-3 weeks... http://s196.photobucket.com/albums/aa10 ... 0_2424.flv

It's come a long way...Today,I finished the hood, drilled the fenders so the inner fenders could be bolted fast, mounted my MSD box and other small but important things..I may make the track this year afterall...
Put the new front tires on the front runner wheels, too bad they aren't draglites like the rears...Someday I'll get a matching set..

Thanks, Vince I have been doing alot of the small pain in the rear items every night like hooking up the electric gauge wires, mounting the MSD ingntion, line lock, shift light and installing the rear axle studs. Tonight I plan to finish the pass side wheel studs and run a keyed power wire to a power strip so I can gain power for all the gauges to work. I am seeing light at the end of the tunnel. My goal is to take it to my local track sometime the end of September and then makes it's debut at the Buick event at Cecil Co Md. in October.
