Sorry, been busy at work, I don't get to pop in much.
First run was 14.15 shifting short at about 5700-5900, even put it in 4th at about 1000 feet. Here's video of that run:

Second run put me at 13.92 with basically no changes other than raising the shift points to about 6200 and running out in 3rd. 3rd run got me a 13.89. 4th was with a buddy driving (he engineered the EFI, he gets a pass). 5th was playing with the "launch" and shock setting, another high 13, but it felt better even with a 6000 shift point. 6th I broke. Throttle pedal cable pulled out form pedal. 7th I was lighter on pedal at launch and got a 14.02. 8th cable broke again, got to take a idle speed pass down whole 1/4 mile.
9th was start of bracket racing. Here's a tip: hydrate, and eat. I was in line looking at the other cars I would be up against-all are in the car club class today. I saw lots of 14.xx cars, and because of the heat and not eating, I wrote 14.82 instead of 13.82 on my car. Dumb move. I broke out even with dragging at the end to try and bring it back to the other car. I broke out worse. Consolation pass I ran the best of the day at 13.73 shifting at 65-6700 and still spinning off the line. That was best 60ft too with a 2.01. Tires are Dayton Daytona 500 (similar to Firestone Indy 500) total all season deep groove not for drag racing tires. They do leave good black lines, though.
I figure something like drag radials and maybe some more stall would put me into mid 13s for sure. I did have 26" drag radials mounted and available to me, but with a 700R4 tranny and 4.10s, no way would it have been productive. I need 28s. It's not a drag car, but it was fun to see what it could do.
