well it runs good, it didnt make the power I wanted or power it should
didnt take motor home, its still in oregon and got a new 4-7 swap crower cam ordered today for it
engine builder will change cam, degree it and going to work on intake, then I will get it and run the hell out of it
anyways made 545 hp at 6600 want another 50hp at least

are you having to pay for the new cam?

545 is not bad.
It is still 10 second power for a 3600lb vehicle.

ya carl its my mistake, I wanted to buy a 4-7 swap roller cam,at first but to save money , I had this cam and it looked ok, well my only free part on motor was the cam I gave my engine builder, oh well, he is puting it in and degreeing it for free, so it will all work out in end, sure wanted some good dyno papers, didnt happen :(

That's cool bro.

You get that roller in there and the numbers will be there.
And...your already making good 10 second power, so with the extra hp you will gain, you could run a 10.90 index and never hurt that motor.

Tell ya what, I'll take that "wimpy" 545hp motor off your hands....
Just wish I was making those numbers, guess I'm a little jealous I suppose. Still, very respectable numbers! :D
Because I said so !

Mark
Todd has a 385 4 - 7 swap in his Firebird. He went 9.90 137 mph in and out of the throttle. His Firebird weighs 3400 lbs. Bad news is the block cracked and we have to pull the motor and put my motor in it for this year.
I think with that cam swap you will be looking at 9's.

still waiting on motor to be finished, motor builder was working on it this last thursday and friday, and will have to order push rods again, new cam is a lil bigger, I will be putting a lot of fuel into this motor, new cam is a 4/7,3/2 swap so that ought to confuse me. I will have to write on my air cleaner new firing order.
anyways I will be late, late racing this yr , but should be a lot of fun, lift on new cam will be in the 685 lift range
